Sorry but is my setup Ok? I'm a total newbie

Roughly how long will it take for my Christmas moss to grow out and cover the wood?

Best is to keep the setup simple meaning no gravel and no plant juz plain bare tank with filter. Reason being goldfish is a poo machine so if having gravel it will trap those poo making your maintainance more challenging. If maintain not proper water parameters will easily go haywire. Those plants may not survive there for long as goldfish will chew them as snacks so overall to say best is to keep the setup as simple as possible .

Just my 0.5cents opinion.

Hi,

Agree with bro euphonist,

I started as newbie with gravel and simple hang on filter, trust me hang on filter dolphin not suitable for GF, water aeration and movement not enuf for gf, cause them down with ammonia poisoning, ich and other illness, best is to buy ohf cheap small one for ur tank cost 6 sgd for extra back up , u can use hang on filter together with small ohf..
Gravel can be keep is vacuuming frequently..

Welcome for joining the gf family.
