Looks like everyone responded to Klopp’s rollicking.
Great team performance especially TAA and Fabinho.
The Derby next!

Default Man City boss Pep Guardiola makes Liverpool prediction after penalty controversy

Pep Guardiola maintains both Manchester City and Liverpool will drop points as the Premier League title race enters the final stretch.

City remained a point behind the Reds at the top of the table after a narrow 1-0 win at home to West Ham United on Wednesday night.

Guardiola's side needed a controversial penalty - won by Bernardo Silva and converted by Sergio Aguero - to seal the victory.

And the City boss believes both his side and Liverpool will falter on occasion during the final 10 games of the campaign.

“We know with 10 games (to go), three points (a win), many things are going to happen," said Guardiola.

“I think we are going to drop points, I think Liverpool are going to drop points. So we are going to see, until the end.

“It is important now to refresh and (have a) good recovery and prepare for the game against Bournemouth.”

Former City boss Manuel Pellegrini, now in charge of West Ham, was unhappy with the manner of his side's defeat.

The Chilean said: "To be generous, (it was) a little soft but (that is being) too generous. It was not a penalty.

"It was a play that happens a lot of times inside the box. In the other box Manuel Lanzini had exactly the same and he didn't throw (himself) to the floor.

"If we had lost this game with another action then maybe you could accept it, but not that penalty."

City are at Bournemouth on Saturday, with Liverpool travelling to Everton the following day.

Man City Puma kit deal gives Liverpool extra ammunition in negotiations for new supplier

Liverpool have made no secret of the fact they are in the hunt for a new kit deal.

That is, in short, down to the fact the Reds believe they should be getting more money from their supplier and their current deal with New Balance - worth around £45million a year - is set to expire at the end of next season.

Their belief they should be getting more cash is in no small part down to the fact Jurgen Klopp 's side are top of the Premier League , recently announced a record-breaking £125m pre-tax profit and after reaching the Champions League final in May last year are into the knockout stages of the competition this term to launch another bid to clinch the trophy.

And not to mention they boast some of the world's best players in their squad while having one of the best managers in football at the helm.

So, options are being explored across the board to strike up fresh terms and the new deal - whoever it is eventually signed with - will be the most lucrative in the club's storied history.

The ECHO understands that discussions are underway with New Balance over a possible extension but Liverpool are also open to offers from rival kit suppliers such as Adidas, Nike and Puma.

Manchester City announced this morning that they have signed a new ten-year, £650million kit deal with Puma.

The deal is the second biggest in the Premier League , behind Manchester United ’s £750million agreement with Adidas, and will begin next season.

The £65million-a-year deal overtakes Arsenal’s £60million partnership with Adidas, and Chelsea’s Nike deal for the same amount.

The Reds believe they should be commanding these kind of figures and considering their standing and the fact City have been able to demand this much money will no doubt give Anfield bosses extra ammunition when it comes to negotiating with any potential supplier.

Liverpool have worn New Balance shirts since 2015/16 having previously worked with their affiliate company Warrior from 2012/13.

The partnership has been incredibly successful with the previous two home kits consecutively being the highest-selling kits in the Reds' history.

However, if New Balance want to retain it they will have to offer Liverpool a hefty increase on the current terms.

The players Liverpool could look at to help ease Michael Edwards' transfer problems this summer

As the spring months begin to creep in, the summer transfer window edges closer into focus for Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to be giving it too much thought at present with the Reds embroiled in their biggest title challenge for 29 years, but the window is now just over four months away from opening.

There could be plenty of upheaval in the Liverpool ranks, too, with a clutch of stars possibly heading out the Anfield exit door when they are free to wheel and deal.

Liverpool might just be entering the market as Premier League champions, but some surgery will be needed on the squad, regardless of whether or not they end a near three-decade wait for title No.19.

Sporting director Michael Edwards will have much to do as he plots to entice some of the planet's best talent to Anfield and it is a great chance for the Anfield chief to further enhance his reputation among supporters.

Last summer saw the Reds embark on the biggest spending spree in their history as they spent close to £170million to bring Naby Keita, Fabinho, Alisson and Xherdan Shaqiri to the club.

And while such a sizable outlay is unlikely to be forthcoming this time around, there are a number of areas Edwards will have to try and bolster whatever the Reds' status is heading into the new season.

However, there are a host of players currently at the club who could help ease the burden of spending big on more squad players.

Caoimhin Kelleher

The young Irish goalkeeper faces a huge upcoming pre-season. With Simon Mignolet likely to leave, Kelleher will surely be given a few opportunities during friendlies - and training with the club on tour - to prove he is ready to step up as understudy to Alisson Becker.

It is telling that the 20-year-old Kelleher is listed as part of the first team on the club's official website and he was very much viewed as third choice by club officials after nudging ahead of Kamil Grabara in the pecking order.

Kelleher featured in pre-season wins over Manchester City and Manchester United and was handed a new contract back in August last year.

With Mignolet likely to seek pastures new when the window opens, opportunity knocks for Kelleher ahead of the August transfer deadline.

He will only learn from playing alongside a world-class goalkeeper like £65million man Alisson and a back-up position will surely lead to a senior debut in the cup competitions next term.

Rafa Camacho

With the on-loan Nathaniel Clyne's long-term future currently far from certain, Edwards, Klopp and their respective teams might have to give some thought about the possibility of signing a right-back.

James Milner has been forced to operate out of his comfort zone of late after an injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold and while the veteran midfielder's adaptation and willingness has been admirable, perhaps something has been missing.

Enter Rafa Camacho.

The Portuguese made his senior debut in the 2-1 defeat at Wolves back on January 7 and performed well, despite the reverse at Molineux.

The 18-year-old's versatility means he can operate as a winger and a full-back and while attacking is his perhaps his preferred role, the teenager is more than adept in defence, too.

Rhian Brewster

The 18-year-old striker would have been given his first-team debut long ago had a serious ankle injury not ruined much of the past 13 months.

Liverpool have huge hopes for Brewster, and Klopp was keen to show that by moving him up to Melwood to help him continue his recovery from the serious injury sustained in January 2018.

The teenager was part of the club's recent trip to Marbella and he is back in training with Klopp's senior stars as he plots his way to Anfield stardom.

With the future of Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi still up in the air, the pathway to the Liverpool team is visible to Brewster. He will be given every chance to get back to full steam after a long lay-off and a big pre-season awaits the young centre-forward.

Liverpool continue to be linked with a summer move for a striker, but Brewster could save the club millions.

Harry Wilson

Another Academy graduate who could benefit from Sturridge and Origi's potential departure is the on-loan Wilson.

The Wales international is having a fine season on loan with Frank Lampard's Derby County in the Championship and has caught the eye with 10 goals in 26 appearances.

Such output has inevitably led to discussions about his long-term ability to make it at Liverpool, and Wilson is in no doubt about where he sees himself in the future.

"I have always felt like a Liverpool player," he said earlier this year. "Everything is going along the right path."

Wilson has proven himself at Championship level and his performances for the Rams are likely to attract Premier League suitors this summer. Can he become an option for Klopp next season though?

Adam Lewis

With Alberto Moreno surely into the final throes of his Liverpool career, a left-back problem could once again arise for the Reds this summer.

Andy Robertson's supreme form means he is the undisputed first choice at Anfield, but even the inexhaustible Scot needs a deputy.

Left-back has been a chronic issue for Liverpool for much of the Premier League era, but while Robertson can stake a very real claim to being the finest left-sided defender at Anfield for 25 years, the Scotland captain needs someone to keep him on his toes and help him rest up when necessary.

Adam Lewis is the current hopeful plying his trade for the Under-23s and after committing his future to Liverpool earlier this month , the local defender will have designs on moving through the ranks.

"My aim is just to try and get on the bench or maybe in the squad for a Premier League game," he said recently.

The rise of Trent Alexander-Arnold gives Lewis hope and the message is clear. If you are good enough, Klopp will pick you.

Ki-Jana Hoever

With Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez all vying to be Liverpool's two centre-backs, they are not necessarily going to be in the hunt for further back-up this summer.

However, the rapid emergence of Ki-Jana Hoever will have certainly given Klopp something to think about when he and his charges begin their pre-season tours later this year.

The 16-year-old has already made his first-team bow after being unexpectedly thrust into the action at Wolves on January 7 in the FA Cup.

The young Dutchman turned in an excellent display in the Midlands alongside his makeshift centre-back partner Fabinho and it's clear to see why there is so much excitement around the club for the ex-Ajax teenager.

The youngster made his first Liverpool appearance in a 4-1 win for the under-18s against Newcastle on September 15.

Three days later, he was given a brief outing in the Reds' opening UEFA Youth League clash at home to Paris Saint-Germain that ended in a 5-2 triumph.

By the end of the group stage, he was playing the full 90 minutes in the 5-0 romp over Napoli that sealed Liverpool's place in the knockout stages.

Then followed his senior debut in January and he has continued to go from strength to strength.

One of the most exciting prospects at the club for many a year, Klopp will be keeping close tabs on his development.
