did you get want you wanted out from the parents features from earlier spawns?
I did a test spawn video posted in Post#26. Fries too young to really assess with certainty any good features.

How'd you check for the fish's external wellbeing since the fish is mostly observable from the top? Do you routinely turn each fish over to give it a quick 360 to ensure there's no external issues such as fin rot or any signs of abnormal growth not visible from top view?

Yes I do visually check them over during water change, but not all the time bcos I try to be observant and have a good "feel" for my fishes. After quite a few years playing ranchu, I tend to be very instinctive in my approach to ranchu keeping...I watch the swimming, the skin colour, the composition/smell of the water etc etc and that give me an idea of how well my fishes are.

Tho's Junior Tosai is not my breeding. It was a young coloured baby that I got from Bangkok (bred by my friend Tho). Thought I share as it look quite similar to D7

Thanks for the insight. I'm certain that over the years, you have developed the required senses to detect abnormalities. Thumbs up to your dedication toward your passion!
