Default Planted Tank Update

Dinno this hobby is so addictive. Started with 1 tank, then become 2 and followed by 3. Luckily no more spare tank left, otw dun think can stop….

No chillers used, only co2, fan and t5 lights on for 6 hours a day. Failed with carpet grass and mini fissidens on dw….. other than that, the rest of the plants are growing well….

Hi.

Mind educating me how to grow and maintain altum's nice, long fin?

Mine is also from 2013 batch. But their fin are not as long as your batch.

Wonder is it because mine is a 1.5ft height tank.

No secret bro, the finnages are natural. I nvr do anything to them nor feed the altums special diet.

Dun worry bro, your altum should be able to grow big n beautiful if you keep the water in good condition and hv enough space for them to swim in an upright manner.
