A question bros
Does driftwood cause a datnoid to become unstable or is it because it goes dark to camo with the driftwood

causes it to be unstable in coloration depends on the dats itself
but surely if the wood is big enough they will try to hide ard the wood provided

I have both AT and IT
I noticed when they go to the driftwood to hide, they go all brown but when they come out to eat they show their stripes

So does that mean they camo or they are not really stable?
The IT I had them when they were about 1 inch. Now about 3 inch already but still all brown most of the time

color of your tank?
anyway tigers are camouflage fishes thus it v normal.
if your tank is of blue/white then need not worry much jus give it some time.
else if its black try turning the lights more often.

practically i dun really bother if my tigers r black so long i see them eat like pigs i'm happy.

btw my 4x 6" an above ATs r all black

I don't like the color of blue tank
It's... too striking.

I think I"ll just not paste the black paper.
Yeah la same la I just see these black fishes darting around if they are near the driftwood. Super hard to spot them.

That is what I dun really understand lor. Sorry if my questions are very nubbish because I’m still very new to Datnoids.

When you say a fish is unstable, usually you mean it can upbelly anytime right? But why is a Datnoid who eats greedily and is active considered unstable if it don’t show it’s full color all the time?
