Default Noise from acdc pump when plugged in

Came home today to a noisy acdc pump.
It becomes quiet after I turn the mains off.
I managed to make the knob stick between "off" and "high" and the unit is silent with the plug on...
I doubt this is a long term solution...
Does anybody have a similar experience?

Yap i also experience.

Told by LFS that the air pump in ACDC has overloader, which mean that spoil. It cause by the bubble at your output (the thing that not sure what it call) is stuck/cover with slime etc, resulted that the air output at ACDC cannot pump out then resulted the ACDC motor pump overloader later it will make noise sound.

When no action taken for few hours such as cleaning the slime or change the output, later the ACDC still make the sound even you did not attach the output.
