Shouldn't cost alot for just cabinet alone . if DIY make sure it is very stable and flat. You woulbt want to go home to a flooded house.

should be very possible. Try to get solid wood if possible. Otherwise make sure u use a gd paint or sealant for the wood. I usually get my wood from JE st 31 side. Guess something like this ?

DIY certainly will be cheaper, but do make sure that your DIY is able to support the weight of the tank + water. it can be very heavy, over hundreds of KG.
just my two cents.
