When kois are hungry, they can attack GF. It's not the first time I see my GF with 1 eye (eaten up by kois). Then the next day, 2 eyes gone. Never keep both species together.

Goldfish
Wow, never know koi do eat goldfish eye. Just only ever experience big ryukin eat the eye of small goldfish.

I've tried GF + Altum Angels... Living in harmonies. But my Altums are close to 2yrs old and accustomed to 7.0 - 7.5 pH. Disclaimer: Try at your own risk!
