It has to also depend on what type of fishes you are keeping...

If fishes like GT they need strong current sometimes need a wave maker too.... For example gold fish or guppies... Slow gentle flowing is preferred..

Hope that will help with what flow rate you will be looking at?

Well pump also depend ur pipe size ... If higher pump ur pipe small also just high pressure but does not equal too high flow...

I ever use 30mm pvc pipe for 1260 for my 5ft... Also more than enuff...
Well safer bet 1262 is good ....

Eheims if u can find a 2nd hand 1262 less 1~2yr. with warranty some more... Is good as it will last u many yrs of usage.

Proven and I won't doubt the brand.

Well if ur other China brand pump fail u early... Ur fish dies, I doubt ur loss esp Ray or aros will cost less.... Unless u building a planted tank w tetras or cheap fish, then I won't bother wat brand...basically most recommended brands are ok.

And unless u got pond , then those tsunami pumps or high flow pumps to consider
