Default HAHA crab(hermit crab)

Hi to all,
Recently jus brought a pair of hermit crab from HAHA crab. They are so cute.. jus wonder any 1 also into this cool keeping hobby. Maybe we can share our keeping experiance and knowledge as i am new to this cute little creature also.

They need deep substrate to dig into when they moult.They generally eat most fruits and are scavanger.Their favourate food is oats and coconut.U need a dish of salt water and a dish of fresh water for them to bath.This is the land form of hermit crab.It is kept in dry or rather moist condition.

my daughter was making noise for me to get them the HAHA CRABS but I dunno if they will attract ants or not...

However they do look cute

does the sand needs to be washed frequently to get rid of their waste? will lapis sand be fine??

The sand/ substrate must be cleaned from time to time.. Just use a strainer and get rid of the shit and buried food.. Maybe twice a week=) Wash the sand once a month.. =)
Anyway it depands on how many crabbies u have... The more u have the more u clean. =)
The sand can use the fine sand.. Easier to clean and they Love it!

Just to update:
Clementi 328 has stock.. Went there a couple of days ago.. they got tiny hermies. 1 for $10 only.. =)
