Loss of my King Goldie :(
My journey with my goldie started on the 24 March 2011.
He was getting ready to go into his new home Pic showing his development after 3 mths Getting to his best after 5 mths On the 10 Oct, something struck! Started with a bit cloudy eye. Then everything went downhill. Tried everything from salt , change water , heater , yellow powder and medication for internal bacteria and ucler! Still dumbfounded! No words can describe my loss as this was my very first arowanna. Even my gals are mourning for him. |

Since starting the hobby in march, I didn't really test the ph. I only kept him with a FF
Its diet is only SW n once in a while feeder. |

firstly you have my condolences... i share your pain as a fellow aro lover....
secondly most of the time when i see sudden deaths the main diet is SW... I believe it is either or both of the causes below: 1. death by indigestion - SW heads are hard to digest; daily feeding tolls the aro 2. water quality - MP & SW are ultra high protein, water spoils easier; regular water changes and powerful bio filtration is a must that's all i can think of...hope it helps bring this chapter to a close and paves the way for a new and better one! |
