Default New Aros wipe out old Aros

after the introduction of 2 16" red aros, the first 3 days were peaceful, but on the 4th day (the only day when i was not home), duno which piece start attacking my entire remaining 12" aro comm.

lost the following:
1 Wajok Red
2 RTG splendour
1 RTG Supreme
1 RTG
1 Green

in addition, my FFs and ITs all kena torn fins and dropped scale. water pH dropped drastically to 4.0.

Luckily, i managed to save 1 12" RTG and transfer to another tank. Now only left the 16" Yuda red and 16" wajok red in the tank

For my pt of view, is always risky to add in bigger aro to comm espeacilly red cos was told red more aggressive.U mention happened on the 4th day maybe the bigger aro had get use to surrounding and wanted be alpha
2nd, increase bioload, poor water condition will result to fight too.

did you put a wave maker or a power head? this should reduce fighting in the tank....

and mixing aro of different size is a big no no...esp a difference of 4"

woah, this is damn scary.

my condolences and hope you can start again to comm aros of similar size

i just added 2 silver aro, one 11", the other 12" with my green aro 12" (hitting 13")..

the green is the tank for 2mths, only yesterday added the 2 silvers. no fight for 2 days.. hopefully since the greenie used to be from a comm, it will continue to ignore these 2 new silver..

quite scary furthermore silvers have a more slender body which makes it look small despite the length are almost on par

yup, got powerhead to function as wavemaker but 622 is a fairly big tank... well, i do know that it would be difficult to comm different size aros, but i din expect the bigger aro to kill all the rest. i was expecting dropped scales and torn fins at the most

Could be build up of heavy biolaod , bad water condition that trigger the fight too.
