Itchy finger guests
Ever had guest come over and knock on your tank and your aro spooked, jumped and scratch all over ? How do you prevent it from happening ? Putting a "do not touch" note sound a lil harsh. Telling them not to touch but their itchy hand still tap the tank repeatedly.
what's up with people see aro always want to knock on the tank one ? I go Lfs always see people knock on aro tank. If aro stable, no problem , if are not stable or jumpy aro, knock on tank, are jump scratch drop scale jialat how ? |

Cover the tank with cloth or newspaper.
Just tell the guest that the fish is sick and undergoing medication. not suitable for viewing.

adult or young children ?
If adult, just inform them, shouldn't be a problem unless he is trying to be funny with you . If children, then really no point telling cuz they wont listen. Just carry them to their parents and explain to them and let them handle. |

If I had the time to cover it up, I would have, it was unexpected visit. Happened to me almost every time someone come over. Mostly teenagers and young adult, some adults too.

Did you know that water amplifies vibrations 60x? It's like if someone flicked you with one finger but getting the impact of the hulk smashing you lol. I tell people that and they realise how bad it is to knock on the glass - that usually stops them.

If you have frequent visitors and such scenario always happen, then put a "Please do not knock" sign, you got to protect it, and your visitors will understand. Same like when you visit a lfs, they do put a sign to prevent anyone knocking the tank, you see it, you don't knock it, is understandable.

Put a sign, educating them on why they should not knock on the glass.
