When you mentioned "maybe still not as good as 8 hours under the sun", the aro should be kept in pond with bigger water area and shade. If aro kept in tank under 8 hours sunlight the water temperature will rise tremendously.

good point.... i wonder if anyone has tested if 5ft tank of water put under sunlight, how much will water temperature rise... should be interesting

Aros still considered expensive pet lah. Keep outside is not very safe lar. A lot of petty thefts hehehe
