I've encountered similar situation.
The ST like got no control of its swimming and posture

Place in quarantine tank.
Add epsolm salt and some blackwater.
Do WC every 2-3 days and continue epsom salt intro for a week continuos. No feeding.

Good Luck.

Could it be a case of internal bacterial infection thus causing SBP?

Yes my ST survived with 2wks of TLC.
You drive? You can borrow the plastic tub I used.
Just need to find a small cannister or OHF.
Use some biomedia from ur existing filter.

Just put in the quarantine tank water 100% fRom ur main tank first.
This way no need cycle. Partial WC every few days.

Cause of this is due to ST fight.

I see, I got a small 2ft tank, is it big enough? If ok, I go prepare the water first.
