As for the UV setup my top layer is for magic clean only. The reason I added another tier for magic clean only is bcos for easy access & replacement. Apart from this, reduces the rate of changing the white wool too, this translates to cost saving & maintainance. In total I hv 4 tiers, the setup as follows :- 1) magic clean 2) top cotton wool & Jap mat 3) bio rings 4) coral chips If u read the DIY setup, the pump outlet are connected to the UV inlet. Meaning water pump up will go through the UV. The UV outlet joint I connect a T-joint which allows water going through the rest of the tray & flowing back to the tray where UV is sitting on the top. Everytimes wc, is plug & play for removing the UV setup sitting on the OHF. Only reqiues 2 steps, put out the incoming & bottom joint & the UV will be removed. If u looks carefully, the UV can stands on it's own without any supporting mounting fixtures or fitting. This is bcos the piping joint inlet / outlet supporting it. I hope u can understand as my England are pte limited Last edited by blackgf; 25-12-2010 at 12:16 PM. |
