CNY coming soon so 8 more auspicious

You are right about the fin nips, even otto can sometime be a pest by clinging on the body slime. Had thought of a school of rummy nose; but may distract the peace.

Maybe a few pairs of apisto red agassizi or caca would be better as they are bottom dwellers and will help clear food... will look for home breeders. Thanks.

Thanks bro. Yes, I like the yellow contrast against darker background as well.

There is a pair in this group already

TS how is your maintenence like?

Easy to Maintain?
The scape has evolved over the last 2 years to this current state to bring down the maintenance. Current choice of plants are very low in requirement, so only twice or once a week water change needed. No dosing of fert apart from the CO2 injection at 3-4 bps and on half the lighting (turn-off 50% of bulbs).

Only feed on freeze dried blackworms, flakes and hikari bio gold pellets and algae chips. No heart meals.

Well if you feel that your tank feels too empty, I would like to make two suggestions:
1. Place some "mangrove looking roots" on the extreme right. It would give something that the discus can swim amongst. The roots can also help to hide the plastic tube on the right n give a more 3-D feel to the tank, it should help make the tank look even more natural.
2. Get 8-12 Cories. They are interesting to watch n is a good contrast from the discus. They're quite active n help to pick up excess food on the bottom.

Hi Bro,
Thanks for the suggestion on the mangrove roots. They are good absorbers for nutrients as well. But I'm trying to maintain the "golden ratio" in the layout so would likely keep the right side lean.

Cory is a good suggestion. Perhaps a small school of mini Corydoras hastatus.
