You are right about the fin nips, even otto can sometime be a pest by clinging on the body slime. Had thought of a school of rummy nose; but may distract the peace. Maybe a few pairs of apisto red agassizi or caca would be better as they are bottom dwellers and will help clear food... will look for home breeders. Thanks. |

Well if you feel that your tank feels too empty, I would like to make two suggestions:
1. Place some "mangrove looking roots" on the extreme right. It would give something that the discus can swim amongst. The roots can also help to hide the plastic tube on the right n give a more 3-D feel to the tank, it should help make the tank look even more natural. 2. Get 8-12 Cories. They are interesting to watch n is a good contrast from the discus. They're quite active n help to pick up excess food on the bottom. |

Thanks for the suggestion on the mangrove roots. They are good absorbers for nutrients as well. But I'm trying to maintain the "golden ratio" in the layout so would likely keep the right side lean. http://www.thegreenmachineonline.com...ing-perspectiv Cory is a good suggestion. Perhaps a small school of mini Corydoras hastatus. |
