if you monitor closely, if the female don't even stay near the cave then you can forget about it. SIZE difference is not an issue but if you are talking about 4 inches vs 2 inches then no way for male to trap the female at all.

Yup, bigger, longer and fatter.
So far unless everyone document, we won't know. It boils down to how willing the female is. Up to now, the male has grown slightly and so does the female but they are still breeding. Funny thing, in a bigger tank, the breeding female is always 4-5 caves away n only get near the male when it is about time.
