because, personally i feel that the latest few pics are a bit controversial.

my spider is flatter thana 5cent coin. and i managed to capture the details of hair around the eyes... [macro]

the dragon fly has a few pics focused on to the head/eye [macro]

the same dragon fly has been caught of the brick wall [close up]

ashdavid's bichir's eye is definitely a [macro]

tagore's fly is definitely a [macro] too

how about the croc and the snakes? to me i few they are [close up]

in any case, ALL are very IMPRESSIVE shots! worth complimenting

if you look at the spider i shot, it is standing beside a 5cent coin... i would like to achieve details where i could count the hair around the eye, one by one... then i am happy

I newbie. so cannot tell you whether macro or not. real professionals out here. haha.
anyway the industry practice is 1:1 meaning 1cm in real life is 1 cm on the film and on the digital back it is 1.6!

if you really want to find out. go to clubsnap.com and post the question. you will get a lot of helpful answers

Like extreme magnification? Here's something closer...

Skin flukes. About 1mm each.

As this is a Fish Photography forum, I will usually move subjects not related to the hobby into the Chat forum. Exceptions being turtles and frog. If unsure, you can always post in both the Chat and this forum.

Keep shooting and posting!

Don't worry about it. I usually only shift it after the bros have looked at it. Not immediately anyway.

And now for more macro!

These eggs are about 1-2mm also. And that's a daphnia beside the egg on the left.

Cheers,
