Default Easy way to wash new sand!

was surfing around and found this. not sure how effective it really is, but from video seems like a good method to try out! though will be abit slow when you are washing 30kg of new substrate, but much better than washing manually!

my logical observation: the sand comes out, creating vacuum pressure inside the bottle, causing water to be sucked in. the water being sucked in "washes" the sand by carrying the dirt away with them.

Thx for sharing the vid bro.like you said to clean is way to slow but i guessed more effective if we are adding subtrates for new set up as to minimise the cloudiness which will usually occur

it is much faster than waiting for hours for the sand to settle and water to clear up...

Thks for sharing.

It looks like more suitable for those who need to add more sands into those current tank, especially planted tank.

welcome bros. though it will feel slow and long, but imagine if you wash the sand manually, not only will it be slow(though not as slow) but tiring on the back as well! might try this slow and less tiring method the next time i add. cheers!

very interesting indeed ! did it show how he got the sand inside ? or is the sand siphoned into the bottle the old fashioned way ?
