Default ID plant bought from Tokyo

Hi all,

I bought this plant from japan and have been trying to propagate them since last December 09. Apparently they are not growing well (Leaves are slowly rotting) under Co2 injection. However few weeks ago, when i air-pump the water to get rid of the green slimy algae, i noticed that new leaves suddenly sprouted out.

Anyone has any idea what is the name of this plant? I was told that it was a rare species from Africa and can grow submerged.

Does it grow freely or does it attach to like dw or other surfaces? Looks very cool. How big or tall is it?

I think it should be attached to a driftwood. Not growing well unless placed in well oxygenated water.

By the way, it is very small in size. each leaf is smaller than 1cm.

Yeah, can't find any online either. Too bad i misplaced the receipt with the name on it. Anyway, it might not be a truly aquatic plant. Maybe will drop by Bioplast and pass them some plantlets to see if they can cultivate it.
