Default Cooling Method

I am now using a 500ml freezed water bottle to cool the tank down.. keke... it seems to work... is this advisable?

I will put the bottle into the freezer to freeze then take it out and put it into the shrimp tank once a day or twice. saw a LFS doing it to his tank.

How about leaving the freezed bottle in front of the rain bar in the middle of the tank... as i think that is the most centralize position and there is water movement to the bottom of the tank... so there is current to move the cool water around. in my own opinion

for sakura u dun need to get a chiller ba..

hmm.. let me ask u instead..

if u are being to throw to a desert(a place out of ur normal temp range) and place a fan for u with ice cube infront of the fan.. and change it when it melt finish.. u think u will get sick?

and how sure are u, that u are able to change the ice cube at the rite time.. can u stand by at ur tank 24/7?

ice melt differently on different days..

give it a thought..

You might as well invest in a good chiller to ease you from all these troublesome chores for the next few years?

Wouldn't suggest it.. even with a fan, you'll get fluctuating temps. Besides, too many variables involved when using your method. I'm sure there are other ways, but I only know of 4 methods to cooling water temp.. fan, chiller, aircon room, moving to a country with cold climate
