My PNT is outdoors and there's now algae growing on its shell and part of the neck. Should I clean it or will it stress it out too much?

I am not sure about the stress part. But I'll always clean if off when I see any derbies on my PNT, it also gives u a peace of mind instead of wondering will it be bad or not.

Just my 2 cents

Algae is generally okay IMHO, but correct me if I am wrong.

i feed mine mazuri turtle pellets... they are rather pricey, but have been scientifically tested for providing a well and balanced diet.

Mazuri turtle diet is formulated for carnivorous turtles which according to Mazuri, the protein content is at least 40%. That's way too high for PNTs as it's omnivorous, more towards herbivorous. That will cause problems for your turtle. Eg upturn shell.

It's an issue if it manages to eat MP everyday. Try to separate the PNT ma way from the MP will be better. Once a wk of mp will be sufficient afterall protein is still essential for all living thing. Only concern is the balance of its diet.

Hmm ok.. in theory it's the slowest in the tank so it shouldn't get much MP..prob feed it more pellets.
