It all depends on your PNT's personality. Mine would prefer floating pellets. If your's goes for sinking foods u can feed it hikari algae waffles a side note try not to feed it too much of a protein diet like the pellets that u use to feed your rays. As it can cause an upturn shell.

Default More Questions!

1) I tried to hand feed my PNT by putting the food at its mouth but it just ignored. It seems to go for food that is red in colour like the hikari sinking pellets and the pellet that its owner used to feed. Going to try to hand feed it papaya. How long can a PNT go without food?

2) Also noticed that it may be nipping on its tankmates. Not seen it being outwardly aggressive. Could it be due to hunger?

They can last very long without food.

Many are known to nip on fishes. But I never had the problem with those in my tanks.

I see.. ok.. hopefully it doesn't become worse.. cause I think this tank gives it a lot of space to swim.

Shouldn't be an issue. I have 2 of them in each of my 6x2.5x2.5.

Ok. Thank you.

Just to check: did you have to train your PNTs to take fruits ? Mine seems to only take pellets for now.

I seldom give them fruits as it can get messy. But they will take fruits like apple, grape, kiwi, etc...
