18 yrs ! even longer than usual pets like dogs and cats. Must have integrated into as part of family members with strong bonding. Can feel the sadness.

Thanks all bro and sis :-) yes most likely will be getting another red for my dad.

It was still feeding well but recent months her sight wasnt that good. As in it keep banging on the glass wall where the feeder reflection are.

I keep coming back to this thread to see this beauty, my sincerest condolences bro, cant imagine what it must feel like, only been in the hobby 12 years but my oldest aro is 4, this aro had been around a looooong time, any pics of when it was alive and swimming in the tank?

Also bro, maybe if it's ok, you could share with us diet and wc regime that your dad used to do..

Thanks bro, wc is once per week. I think abt 30%. My dad feeds alot, morning and night. Diet such as cricket, mp, bf, ghost shrimp, gold fish etc
