Is L46 a good algae eater?
Anyone tested feeding algae to l46? I know they prefer meaty diet but do they clean algae well?

I only know l190,190, and albino bristlenose , and my norm albino cheap ones clean algea v well

Luxury to get L46 as algae eater. With the price it fetches, don't think you would just want them to feast on unwanted algae.

Bro even algae eater pleco should be fed/ supplemented with pallet, and cucumber, etc.
can not rely on algae in your tank, L46 not an algae eater, cheers |

Oh, didn't know need to specially feed the algae eating pleco. I always leave my common pleco alone and they grow fast and big. Maybe they scavenge on left over food or share the food I feed to others.

Agreed bro. They are mainly carnivorous and should have a variety of food given to them haha considering they are such high priced endangered species
