My condolences. But seeing your thread gave me another idea, maybe we can think of ways to ensure that air supply to the tank is secure? Anyone with any ideas?

Just to clarify, you lost your fishes whilst they were in your FGT right?

Use a wave maker (or two) in your 6-footer.

For 4x2x2 FGT to 6x2.5x2.5, you could have just transferred all the FGT water and fish into the new tank. Then continue to run the canisters via the sump temporarily. 2 weeks of running parallel should be sufficient time for the new media to be populated with BB.

Thank you all for the concern. Appreciate your feedbacks.

Hi bro, it is not the power supply issue. The fishes knocked the air tube off the disc and hence the air tube floated up to the surface.

Use the hard type of air tube , i saw at seaview.... then suction cup to the side glass wall...then to soft air hose ,then to air disc....

even if they manage to unhook the hose to the disc, the solid air tube wont up to the surface. just become a stream of bigger bubbles.

mine i dun put air stone,
mine is into a bottle then for K1 media. so they wanna bang is bang bottle.
and other output to a sponge filter, but my transparent tube is near to surface abt 2cm gap with air hose slack to shift abt.

That is what I dislike about canister, they don't create enough oxygen as they are an 'enclosed' system. The rainbar got to be lifted high above water surface to create enough water surface disturbance. When I use canister I always supplement with another high oxygen create filter or air pump. And for the massive stocked setup, be kaisu to have more spare filters plus one AC/DC pump would be the best. Mishap happens will take you days to get over so prevention and play safe is always a must.
