Question Arowana VS Koi Bio Load?

Just curious, which fish would produce more ammonia for same size?
example 16 inch koi and 16 inch Asian Aro?
I'm currently still planning to build a pond,k noticed that koi filter usually contain brush and Jap mat only.
will the filter design of Koi pond be enough for Arowanas?

If I'm not wrong koi bioload should be higher, but perhaps it really boils down to the feeding regime and quantity to both fishes. Usually the jap mat and brushes take up a lot of space thus if space is a constrain, might have to rethink the set up abit.

Definitely the koi will have a larger bio load.

If space is not a constraint eg pond with a huge compartment for medias, by all means, use your jap mat
