Default Thinking of keeping rays, can use OHF?

Hi, apologise for stupid questions first. I been reading some of the ray threads.

can i use my current 522 glass tanks w overhead filter using wool, coral, bio rings.

option1:
1 X 20" red aro, 1 FF, 2 blue loaches w alot of water plants including pandan, lettuce, hyacinth

option2:
1 X 15" red aro, 1 LH, 2 blue loaches, catfish

i read cannot combo w kois

sifus advice appreciated.

Looking at your bioload, it shdn't be too high, so shd be ok.

Just ensure that those plants are not limitting ground space for the rays. And of cos get rays that are big enough not to get eaten.

IMO, i wouldn't place a with a luohan.

luohan will disturb them? wat abt FF, heard will suck their slime.

plants are floating lettuce hyacinth
pandan w alot of floating roots in 1 corner

scared blue loaches become ray food.

Rays has very high bio load so don't keep many, a small pair of pup will do for u nicely

They're ok.. Just make sure PH is around 6-7 range la.. Thereabout. And acclimitize them properly when transferring to yr tank.
