Why FBW so popular?

Hi all bro... may I please know why Frozen Bloodworm FBW is so popular for ranchu. From my experience it just cause big mess from all the poop. Also I read it contains only as much as 6% protein in frozen form and almost 80% moisture. Isnt Hikari pellets better?

Is it that good for ranchu?

yes it is very hard to do nutrition analysis on FBW. and protein content varies with each brand. the brand tot i could trust most is hikari, but it only contain around 6% protein with majority moisture.
