For me I will choose

3) 5

Go to Polyart in Clementi Blk 328 to take a look at their setup. Very much what u have in mind.

How big is yr IOS? If too small scare can't cope with the bioload.

Hi,
Suggest you slowly increase the quantity of fish. As adding 5 palm size GFs at one go will create bioloads that a new filter system cannot handle. Better be patience and let the BB built up before you push it to the limit.

If possible, use sump as you can add more filter medias for BB. The volume of water without sump is only one tank, but with sump, it is two tanks. So you get better ratio of fish to water.

Thanks hansreef.
I won't be using a sump cos got to use my current set-up a 5feet IOS tank to keep them.I will follow what you mention , slowly add the GFs so that my filter system can cope with the bio-load.
