Default Lifespan of pleco

What's the typically lifespan of pleco? This morning woke up to the death of my "cheap" pleco. Somehow feel very sad, this "cheap" pleco has been with me for at least 4 years from small small to 8 inches.

Sad sad

I think they have very long lifespan but different species may be different. I have heard of ppl keeping L46 for more than 15 years!
