Default Mosquito in Aquascaping Tank

Hi everyone,
need some advise here.

I am creating an aquascape in a small 12in tank, I have attached moss to some rocks and also planted some monte carlo as carpet, I do not dare to add in any fishes at this beginning stage until after some time when the moss and carpet are attached more firmly to the rock and substrate.

But after about a week or so, I saw mosquito larvae in my tank.

Can someone advise me how others maintain an aquascaping tank and not have mosquito problem?

Thank you in advance.

Is there circulation in the tank? Usually this problem is caused by stagnant surface. Keep some top dweller like guppy or endler.

Hi burntrubber & leezhengxi,

No circulation in the tank as i am afraid that if i introduce fishes into the tank, they will disturb my newly plant and attached plants/moss.

Endlers, guppy or boraras will not mess with your plants.

Thanks. Saw some Cherry Bards picture online, the color looks very nice. I will check out fish shop and see what do they have.
