help needed for new tank!

hello guys! im working my way back to the hobby!
so firstly i need you guys to help and advise me alittle..
trying to start off as a newbie here again :P

ok anyway now im considering between a tank
3x2x2.5 with sump 3x2x1.5 = 150 UK Gallon = 675L
or
3x2.5x2.5 with sump 3x2x1.5 = 172.85 UK Gallon = 778L

The difference between them is about 100L

i hope to use a 1X250W MH with some help of T5s going onto LPS softies.. and maybe only afew SPS in future..

another thing is i hope i can get a chiller, A resun CL650 or an Atman chiller that cost afew hundred bucks that can cool the tank.

I would love to have a bigger tank of course but my concern is can the tank be cooled with these cheaper chillers? and also are the lightings be ample for the corals that i will be keeping?

never consider 4 x 2 x 2.5 ?

I think resun650 should be able to do the job if you are in tight budget. EKIA is running CL650 on 4ft , but only 4 x T5HO if I'm not wrong.

I'm running the CL300 on my 3ft x 1.5 x 2 with 150w MH & 4 T5HO , so far so good ..

no space for 4ft tank lei.

then better stick with 3 x 2.5 x 2.5 , more volume is always better

the difference between 2.5 and 2 is the height or width?

if width go for the eariler, if height...then go for later.

For chiller see if u can get the outdoor chiller they perform much better...
heat n noise outdoors. With a compressor of 1HP it can cool a 240 Gallon within 1 hr.

In Malaysia, complete setup and equipment cost RM1800...u can get half the price>
