How well is Mane playing at the moment?! All that’s missing from Salah is the goals.
Defence is well sorted now too (touch wood). Let’s keep focused and regroup for Fulham this weekend.
And hopefully nothing too serious with Henderson

Default Who Liverpool could draw in the Champions League quarter-finals

Liverpool have done it. The Reds conquered Bayern Munich on their own turf to book their place in the Champions League quarter-finals.

The big question now is, who will they face in the last eight?

The draw for the quarter-finals takes place on Friday, and Jurgen Klopp's men will be hoping to go one better than they did last year, when they made the final of the competition last year and lost to Real Madrid 3-1.

After the 3-1 win in Munich, Jurgen Klopp’s men will now be turning their attentions to the quarter-final draw and the seven teams which await them have all shown their prowess in Europe.

Even one of the outsiders left in the competition, Ajax, beat the three-time holders Real in the last 16 so nobody can be underestimated at this late stage.

Barcelona joined Liverpool in the quarter-finals on Wednesday evening when they defeated Lyon at Camp Nou.

Juventus also progressed through thanks to a remarkable 3-0 home win over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday as a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick helped overturn a 2-0 first-leg deficit.

Manchester City hammered Schalke 10-2 on aggregate to move on to the next round, while Manchester United’s well-documented victory last week at Paris Saint-Germain has fans of the Red Devils dreaming of glory in the competition as well.

Tottenham Hotspur also eased past Borussia Dortmund in the last 16 and FC Porto came from behind to defeat AS Roma 4-3 on aggregate.

Here’s a full list of who Liverpool could draw:

Porto

How did they qualify? With a 4-3 aggregate win against Roma, sealed with a 3-1 victory and a very late penalty in extra time in Portugal last week.

Star player? Moussa Marega has been the main man for them in the Champions League so far, with six goals and two assists in this year's competition.

Do Liverpool want to draw them? In short: yes. They are very much seen as the outsiders for the tournament according to the bookies. And the Reds did the business against Porto last season.

Ajax

How did they qualify? In quite spectacular style, knocking out holders Real Madrid with a 5-3 aggregate victory. They swept past the Spanish giants with a 4-1 win at the Bernabeu.

Star player? There are plenty to choose from, but former Southampton man Dusan Tadic is in fine form. And he has 18 goals and eight assists to his name this season.

Do Liverpool want to draw them? Despite their stunning result against Madrid, they would still be seen as one of the more favourable draws.

Tottenham
How did they qualify? With a hugely impressive 4-0 aggregate triumph over Borussia Dortmund, which was set up by a 3-0 victory at Wembley in the first leg.

Star player? The obvious, and probably correct, answer is Harry Kane. The Englishman has bagged five goals in the Champions League this term. But Son Heung-Min is also is excellent form.

Do Liverpool want to draw them? They would perhaps be seen as the third kindest draw after Porto and Ajax. But it would be a tough two-legged test.

Manchester City
How did they qualify? With a frankly ridiculous 10-2 aggregate victory over German side Schalke. While there was a slight wobble away from home, the tie was never really in doubt - as Tuesday's 7-0 win in Manchester proved.

Star player? Take your pick from their vast squad. Sergio Aguero has scored some big goals in both the Premier League and Champions League in 2018/19. And Raheem Sterling is having a superb season too.

Do Liverpool want to draw them? Not really. City are outright favourites for the competition. Although that was also the case last year...

Juventus
How did they qualify? With a 3-2 aggregate victory over two legs against Atletico Madrid.

Star player? There is only one answer to this: Cristiano Ronaldo. In his first season with the club he has already notched 19 goals and laid on eight assists. And his hat-trick on Tuesday night carried his side into the quarter-finals.

Do Liverpool want to draw them? No. They are right up there among the favourites for the trophy and can go all out to win it, as they already have Serie A pretty much sown up.

Barcelona
How did they qualify? By seeing off Lyon. It was 0-0 in the first leg in France, but Barcelona easily prevailed at Camp Nou as they usually do.

Star player? Lionel Messi of course. He has eight goals in the Champions League and 26 goals in La Liga already this season.

Do Liverpool want to draw them? While a reunion with Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho would provide an irresistible narrative, it would be one of the most difficult draws. Best avoided.

Manchester United
How did they qualify? With an unlikely comeback against PSG, winning 3-1 in Paris after losing 2-0 at Old Trafford.

Star player? Paul Pogba is very much enjoying a new lease of life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with a haul of 11 goals and nine assists at this stage of the season. There are plenty of others impressing too in the post Jose Mourinho era.

Do Liverpool want to draw them? Why not? It would be difficult, but it worked out pretty well in the Europa League last 16 a couple of seasons ago.
