Your water seems fine. Judging from the colour of both your water and fishes. Hence the peeling is not caused by poor water quality. Therefore its peeling due to growth. No worries your pnt is just growing, thats all nothing to worry about. May be unsightly, u can gently scrub the skin off with a soft sponge.

icic..the water is good and the turtle is active.. i tried scrubbing it off and it is back to it's leathery texture. but why is this only on this turtle? i have another PNT, much smaller in size but without this issue.
