I kind of agree that this guy's just looking out for himself. No doubt he spent about 6 years studying here but 6 years doesn't make him Singaporean especially if his whole family is in HK since the day he was born. Being Singaporeans is just a safety net for them, as they say 'membership has its privileges'.
Our government's interpretation of citizenship makes citizens second class, why would he want to stay. Is this just the start of many more cases? I hope the courts will take his case and rule for him. |

Win also get pay
lost also get pay. If lost, it is expected. So.. $$ come easy If win, the lawyer will be "HERO". Alot of PR, new citizen 2nd generation will come to him. Free advertising. It is a Win-Win situation for him. |
