Bro, yes your aro looks good.
Nice catch. Just maintain good water parameters. Btw, just make sure that the tank is properly covered at the top. New aro tends to be a little jumpy at times. Last edited by streetsmart73; 18-02-2016 at 09:57 PM. |

uh bro, for aro its quite simple.. dont over-do the wc, end up killing the bacteria in the filter instead.
imho, feed once every 3-4 days to a max of 2-3 times a week. do 10 percent wc once a week. add bacteria 1 day after wc (the one with the shark image is good, forgot the name, and the other one frutz or something like that, both are available in clementi fish shops or aquaone at pasir ris farmway) monitor the water once at the beginning of every week, just to track where you are in the cycling process and not give yourself a heart attack at the same time. dont worry, just dont over do anything during this period. all e best. |

Update
Guys, I realize just this morning that my arowana slime coat is coming off, as the water is having tissue like particle floating around but the weird part is I do not see any dangling coat on the body, fins and tail itself.
Than I got my water parameter checked. Ammonia is coming down to 0.5ppm but nitrite shot up to 2ppm. Is this a sign of nitrite poisoning? My arowana still does not look stress and still swim around. PH level no change around 7. Than I have added 30ml of Prime to my 300 litres tank to detoxic the nitrite. What else can I do? |

As this arowana is with me for just 2 weeks. I have did 3 time water change of 30% for the first 2 time and 50 % the most recent one. The water change duration is around 3 days apart and I change directly from tap water but before that I have already added prime and salt in the tank and I am using dripping method direct from the pipe.

Please don't add salt. Seachem prime is one good water conditioner. |
