The roots can get very long. When cleared them due to over growth, you have to be careful as shrimplets may take a ride with it.

I have salvinias in my tank on LED lighting. Propagating new shoots fast. PL lighting tried before on the same plant when I first started. Killed off that first batch coz too hot.

Just curious, did you add those plants and woods straight in after purchase, or have you quarantined them to look out for potential pests?

I suppose soil as well as fiter medias are all new? Did you test the water parameters before adding the shrimps in? One week cycling may not be long enough.
I washed the plants before i add them in, as i heard some had pesticides. i wanted to get rid of any snails too.

Ended up buying 2 sets of the Up-Aqua 1.5ft LED lights. 63 white bulbs at 8000k and 9 blue bulbs at 12000k. Not sure if it's enough to grow the plants in my tank. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Don't like that say la... Camera is just an equipment to help me capture images easier in my job.
