Default Not breeding confirmed pair

Don't know the right conditions for them to breed. Alone In white fgt fed with the Dubai roaches and cricket still nothing from them after almost a year.precious owner say eggs every 3 months. 6 years old liao

Test test if u can see which is male which is female?

They are not like other fishes , they need time, correct environment , temp , ph. Even the Japanese know is not that easy but is achievable, my pair in the tank for 8 months liow still nothing happen.

Try to mimic raining season by doing wc.

Yea the water condition is crucial and is difficult to mimic the water condition

This is the fun or challenging part of breeding, not only aro other fishes as well. There is a member Flash his rtg breed in the tank 2-3 time maybe u can ask him for tips!

I think arowanas are shy creatures. they don't do their business if they don't feel secure. So, a peaceful environment might be helpful. Maybe some black water to darken the environment?

A period of nutritious, heavy feeding to prime the female (like betta breeding).
A period of frequent, large volume water change (to mimic rainy season).
A breeder once told me that males that are too fat can't breed well.

Just shooting what I know.

Feeding confirm nurtitious... feeding those live fat dubai roaches herad is the best food for them liao.

As for WC need to get my friend to do it haha...

If you find out the right conditions, let me know. My pair pak tor for 7 months already but no eggs as well.
