Latest edition to my collection. Still kinda mix up with these caudoputatus. Are they shell dweller or rock dweller?

Mine seems to be rock more than shell.

Shellies also love corals/rocks etc. IMO unless it is a bed of shells with no rocks, then they will stay near the shells. My shellies tend to hide under the rocks/corals at times especially the dominant male who occasionally will come out to inspect the shells + females.

Good that you into DIY now.....I'm waiting for the rockwork/background DIY expert to surface and then can ask their advices.
