Default Aging of water / Direct topup from tap

Hello all,

anyone can share their experience with aging of water? currently i am doing w/c 20% twice/thrice a week directly from tap into the tank. Using together with Xtreme. So far so good, but I'm wondering if I should start the water aging practice , into a water drum of something given that space allows.

And also I'm toying idea on digging a water well to play with. (My neighbour has one).

I dont age my water anymore.

But when I change water, I let it drip with the help of an air hose instead of direct or pouring.(acclimatise)

I do 80% WC twice a week with direct water topup and using Xtreme.
Been doing this for years.
With Chloramine in our water, ageing is meaningless.
The important thing is to use good anti-chlorine and slow direct water flow (topup).

with the current space constrain, i guess most hobbyist not possible to do aging of water and with technology advancment, direct top up is not an issue.. just dont rush to top up and it should be fine

For me there are pros & cons cons being if age water, space will be a factor however if direct top up my water conditioners will have to be prime. Pros being age water, it's much safer to administer & direct top up is much more straight forward... cheers

I drain away 70%, then as i refill direct from tap (full flush), i will pour into tank the required amount of prime+a bit more. Fishes (non-aro) start eating almost immediately.
