Default signs of a healthy goldfish

Just got my goldfish last night and they seemed to be swimming very actively .. today both looked very tired ... frequently going up to surface for air or will just stay still and not look too active ... new tank syndrome perhaps ? they dont look too healthy now ..

my setup

1. 18" length x 12' width x 18' height tank
2. overhead filter
3. fan to cool the water down incase too hot
4. light
5. water direct from farm - did a 20% WC today
6. temp - 29

Perhaps the current is too strong for the fishes ? should i just get a external filter and have the current lowered ? any suggestions welcome ... what are the signs of a healthy goldfish in a new tank ?

pics of tank below

IMHO, no need strong current for SVR, my tank only having minimal surface current and water height is 10.5", using three overhang filter, one small round disc airstone ( w/very little bubble ) in the middle of the tank.

I think your OHF's water outlet back to the tank already creating surface current and air into the water as well. No need to use power head to further create mid water current, for a 1.5 ft tank.

What's your water height, u may want try lower a bit.

Regards.
