Default Soft corals need calcium?

Hi bros, do soft corals need calcium? If we keep the whole tank with just soft corals, no hard corals at all, do we need to maintain calcium level at 450ppm?

Soft coral generally does not need calcium to trive in the aquarium... but it is good to maintain the calcium level so that coraline aglae can trive in ur aquarium thus beautifying those areas that are not covered wif nice purple color.... Soft coral needs addictives like iodide to enhance n maintain its color n growth... hopes that help

Some people say soft corals need calcium, but in very small amount. If u can keep it around 300-350ppm then it's good enough. Carbonate hardness also play an important role in reef tank so u shouldn't neglect that too.

Actually, I seriously doubt that dosing iodine help bring out colour in soft corals.
They are very easily skimmed out and the only effect I've seen is that it stimulates splitting especially in mushies.
Iodine supplements can be found in most fish shops that carry supplements
