i wonder what happen to this piece. i was quite surprise to see this piece among all the other $6 SVR. the only one with a head and cheeks like this. it does not look any alike with those others in the same tub.

Can be many reasons bro. Could be becos of different parentage, different spawns mixed together, same spawn but this one develop the cheeks first the others later,... etc etc etc. Just keep them healthy.

Definitely worth the money and quite decent ranchu. Bro Tappytap...quarentine with salt and dont feed for a few days and observe the fish swimming. I think maybe bcos of stress from living in the small tank at the lfs, the gills a bit open and fish look not very healthy....I think under your care in 2-3 weeks time there should be vast improvement.

For $6, it is consider a decent catch and a piece to learn from. The head and buffalo cheeks are very nice. But the curve is not to my liking. Fort your next purchase, put more emphasis on a smoother, gradual curve. Headgrowth should always be a later priority. Because you can always improve the headgrowth by pumping bloodworms, but the curve will always be permanent. Thanks for sharing |
