Default 4ft Ranchu set up

Hi.

I am currently having a 4ft black water set up.

Attachment 40109

I am thinking of changing it to a Ranchu set up.

Any advise for a newbie?

Planted or bare tank etc.

I will greatly appreciate if you are comfortable to share your currently goldfish set up.

Thanks in advance.

Any advice from Ranchu veteran?

Do I need a chiller to maintain a low temp since ranchu are cold water fish?

Bro, I have kept my ranchus in tub without any chiller.

Think room temperature is good enough as long as the depth of the tank is not too deep. I'm keeping them in a 321 tub.

The water is more cooling than my other tanks.

sorry, never finish yr upper thread.

Firstly, to keep gfs must keep in bare tank. more things will either hurt them or they will destroy them. best to keep them bare to avoid diseases.

Shallow tank will allow the temp to be more cooling. can consider this.

Thanks for the advice!

My current tank temp is 30 due to the heat generated by my submersible pump for ohf.

Will scout around for a Better pump
