This sounds like some trick question. But it should be 1.5 yrs as you would be using them at the same time ba.

How about mini l183? Its small size will be less threat to a shrimp.

I feel it may be the same as it comes to contact with water for same period of time. Like it takes 1min to cook an egg, how much time it takes to cook 2eggs. Hope u get the accurate answer soon!

Expire of the soil is the same when you put how many liter..it is the property of the soil to hold the ph value at 6.5 to 6.8 and how long the soil remain as beads..if the soil break down it will become cake..experince it before when l remove the ADA soil after 2 year in my tank..

You got aro tank even better...take some of the media and put it into your shrimp tank...within two week can put shrimp already...no need to put market prawn in side..but the best four week self cycle...

I try few hour before but l took all the media in my canister filter to put into my new sump tank...

SAE can put but it will bully the shrimp later..take out affected plant/thing and manually remove BBA

The soil will expire a bit longer but not to the extend of 3 years.

Sinking pellets can be used for cycling of shrimp tank.

I heard red shrimps aka pinocchio shrimps will help remove beard algae.

Double the soil wont prolong it double the lifespan. If you have too thick the soil, initally, you pH will be too low and you have to change much of the water or add additive to bring up the pH and this will lead to faster expiry.

Use BT9 and such is good enough. Soil itself has ammonia, so has a lot, some less, so no need to add more ammonia source.
