Thanks Jon-san. I started with about less than a 1/4 handful of this mini 1.5 years ago and manage to grow them well.

Gonna try it out in my new 4ft. Have some ideas in mind, but looks like I'll have to order mine in from one of the LFSs. Gonna need a goodly amount in loose form...

Fogot to add, all the mini are already rooted on the woods. No string or fishing lines. Neat.

After the initial plot roots themselves, may I know if they will just grow thicker, or will they spread sideways (assuming I did not cover the entire piece of wood from the get-go)?

Btw, any experience with tying mini pelia?

They will grow thicker and sideways (only for about 5mm to 8mm).

Mini pelia does not root well to driftwoods, the string need to be remain intact. Eventually, they will dis-engage and float up after some time.

In other words, for mini fissiden, if I want it to cover a certain area, I'll need to tie over as much area as possible from day 1? Since there's limited sideways spread?

So how do people use mini pelia? I want to tie mini pelia to a nice piece of driftwood; any advise? I heard mini pelia is EXTREMELY brittle?
