actually on hindsight.. the 30+ wont be the last generation of avid hobbyists.. i see a lot of teenagers n up being very active in FB in fish groups.

maybe the popularity of fish keeping has dwindled and will most likely continue to shrink due to ppl getting more absorbed by digital stuff, but there'll always be the avid hobbyist that will continue with the hobby.

i guess diminished forum activity boils down to the point where the younger crowd find FB a more interactive platform to communicate as compared to forums.

This thread is also apparent in other forums, such as plants forums. Maybe if the technology for forums can be improved, and photos and videos can be uploaded via drag and drop, it will help draw these tech savvy kids back to forum.

yea.. i'm not tech savy and i dun need the "interactiveness" of FB n the like, but bear in mind majority of ppl use their handphones to surf nowadays, and FB is so much easier to surf on a hp.. to view n to post n to keep track.
